Museum Gallery and Heritage Studies

Circuit of Culture

After a deep discussion about Hakka village, a visit to Hakka village were planned and we all in a group with the assist of our module leader went and experienced ourselves about what we can see there in Hakka Village.

As it is said left over, it is abandoned too. We witnessed thoroughly the environment in Hakka village.
This is how Hakka Village is:

The houses here are left over until the vein can brow on top reaching the roof.

The burnt part is because of an incident where Hakka Village caught fire in the late 90's. other than that, the wooden walls from most of the house are rotten.

The environment of this Village is very creepy because of the silence and it is totally abandon.

Every part of the house in this village can be seen as never been well taken care.

From this visit, we all decide to make an installation art of Culture by highlighting that the village is abandoned. Our concept here is abandoned.

Other than that every single house in this village has their natural water resources, it is the well. Each house has a well in it. This has become an idea for us to apply this to our installation art.
