Reflection

The main purpose of this exhibition booth is to encourage people to use advanced gadget to read label content. Regarding the motive, PRYME Vessyl was the chosen products to create this project. Drinking habits of people nowadays is not in a mannered way. Consumption of energy drink is involved in daily living, nut the label content is ignored to be referred before consumption. In this final year project, I were exposed to know more and learn so many things like how to work with 3DS MAX more efficiently. This was an opportunity for me to enhance my idea to an exhibition booth that I would like to build awareness to public abiout smart hydration. Now, I can handle 3DS MAX modelling much better than before. I would like to learn more about 3DS MAX to improve my skills.

As a reflection, this project have made to face serious deadlines and the process of this project made me to feel the tensed of making a 3D modelling. But, this is not a minus point of learning for me. This has put me into so many places and has made to improve better than before. Now, walking into the creative industry is not a fear for me even though I have less skills. it is because, I have overcome so many things like stress, time management problem, deadlines, paperworks, technical errors and so many things that thought me a good lesson during this final semester.

After finished modelling in the 3DS MAX, all the view from different angles were rendered into high resolution to look more real and perfect. The rendering process took more time because it will slowly render to make the textures to have more real effect.

MODELLING

3Ds Max is the software that has been use to model the exhibition booth. In this process modelling, sketches and ideas need to be modelled into 3D. The ideas a concept sketched applied to be the exhibition booth after modelling, scaling, moving, texturing and rendering in this software. The reason of selecting 3DS MAX is because my experience in using this software in my previous tasks. And this is an opportunity for me to explore and practice more in using this software.

SKETCHES

            After finding some references, moved on to the sketching process. Sketches are important to make it as a guideline and as a reference source for the modelling design that is going to be modelled. Sketches is not for that, it can be developed with more ideas. Moreover, ideas would generated more when sketches were done.

IDEA AND CONCEPT

The project is based on hydration concept. The main purpose of this exhibition booth is to encourage people to use advanced gadget to read label content. Regarding the motive, PRYME Vessyl was the chosen products to create this project. Drinking habits of people nowadays is not in a mannered way. Consumption of energy drink is involved in daily living, nut the label content is ignored to be referred before consumption. This will cause many type side effect and sickness after a certain period of time. To avoid this to be happened, PRYME Vessyl and the exhibition booth modelling technique is used to create awareness.

Before beginning, the sample exhibitions and modelling were referred and used as a reference for this project. The resource could be from anywhere such as journal, internet, ebooks, or any form of reference. This process is to analyse of the previous booths and ideas in making 3D Booths. This helps to generate more ideas based on what is about to be modelled later on.

JUSTIFICATION FOR DESIGN IDEAS

            For this project, the concept is “smart hydration’. Hydration in this campaign is through an advanced technology based device called          PRYME Vessyl. In this exhibition booth also, visitors will be able to test the product and witness the accuracy of this product in scaling and reading the beverage content that is consumed in a day. Other than that, product sales are also included. Visitors are able to purchase the product with special offers by visiting the booth. For the booth, I used the pryme color which is turquoise as the hydration theme. The logo of PRYME Vessyl were the significant one for the booth by placing it everywhere in the booth. Tables were designed as the products shape which is a cup shaped table with the same color as the cup, white. The floor was designed to have the wooden texture to look bold and matching the white and turquoise themed booth. The lights were modelled as the water particles dropping from sky to make a special effect on the big cup placed in front at the entrance of the booth.

 INTRODUCTION

Exhibition booth is a space set up for an exhibition which may be a concept or real one. Exhibition booth is applicable for all type of exhibition according to the theme and concept required or selected. Mostly exhibition booths are design and modelled using the advanced 3D software that is available in the market. The example for 3d modelling softwares are 3Ds MAX, 3D MAYA, SONY VEGAS and much more software.

This final semester of year three, I were required to model a 3D exhibition booth for my awareness campaign which is themed as the ‘Smart Hydration’. The project is about a promotional and awareness booth for the public. The product of awareness that I have selected is the PRYME Vessyl from the company called MARK ONE, San Francisco, California, United States of America.
