Business Plan


After planning and working for a new company of Interior Designing, me and my partner has planned and used some guidelines for forming a Business plan for our start up of our company which is De-Zigners. 
Below is the Business plan and its details in words.

1.0 Executive summary
De-Zigners is a venture that will surely offer good and comprehensive interior design services for home, offices and restaurants. This venture is planned to be operational in Mantin, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. De-Zigners designs things like both antique and modern furniture, decorative accessories for all type of interior depending on space available. Services that is personalised are also offered by this venture regarding to the market desiring target and will be affordable. This venture of design are collaborated with several construction ventures such as carpentry, tiling, painting and etc. Clearly describing that De-Zigners provide services of designing only. Although, De-Zigners are linked with other builders or construction companies to make ease for clients on installation of the interior design by De-Zigners.
            In a town of under major developments especially focused on houses and shop lots, De-Zigners can be an effective and highly valued venture due to the needs of the lifestyle now in Mantin. Besides, De-Zigners will be the first interior designing venture to be operational in Mantin. Other than that, population in this particular growing town demands for a greater interior design of their accommodation, offices and public places such as restaurants as well. Finalised interior outcome of this venture will reach exact requirement of clients.
            The approach of promoting this Imaginative De-Signers venture is through establishing certain relationship with highlighted people in a huge key of community. Besides, the other partnership ventures is a key of marketing and introducing De-Zigners to their clients.  This will allow De-Zigners to divide the profit for the company recommended with an agreeable share percentage. Then this will go on continuously through referral activities once a significant client base is established.  This De-Zigners venture will concern on providing best services by focusing on client’s budget, need, taste and fill of space in order to keep developing loyal and concrete client relationship. The additional selection, performance, product accessibility, services in designing and the pricing which value based will differentiate De-Zigners with other options in the neighbouring states.

2.1 Description of Business and Company
Interior design is a process of creatively and innovatively planning the arrangement and positioning things in in order to be convenient and satisfying of a specific space. An interior designer is someone who coordinates and manages such projects. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that includes conceptual development, communicating with the stakeholders of a project and the management and execution of the design. By the turn of the 20th century, amateur advisors and publications were increasingly challenging the monopoly that the large retail companies had on interior design (wikipedia).

Nowadays, in The World industry of design is growing up fast, but some of company just thinking about their profit, this is totally wrong way to reach success, because when clients satisfied by our work and price will suggest us to others and will connect with us to have our newest design, So first view of our company is after at least 3 years. We have great and professional group to manage, design and produce the best and a specific design similar to client’s imagination and need.

2.2 Company Goals and Objectives
De-Zigners interior designing service company is planned to be allocated in the growing town of Mantin. Starting it in Mantin is to reach and develop the living style of the population of this particular place. Goals measured and confidently to be reached by the company’s 3rd year. Other than this, services of De-Zigners are to create loyal customers by highlighting and measuring customer’s satisfaction during every project. This is to maintain customers and to keep them for further projects in future.

2.3 Mission
De-Zigners is an interior design service for quality-conscious clients that seek assistance in their design choices for their primary residences and businesses.  This experience offers personal attention through the design process and also provides design resources and products to its clients through special purchases of furniture, fabric, and accessories. The total experience is provided in a way to inform, inspire, and assist people through the process of transforming their home or business environment to become a unique and personalized expression of themselves and add to their enjoyment of that interior space.

2.4 Business Philosophy
De-Zigners begins to measure and response accurately as maximum as possible to reach customer satisfactory. More on this, the service of designing and planning space will be worked with maximum effort and stops at the satisfactory point of the customer. Complaints and negative feedbacks will surely not listed in our service from the customer.

2.5 Business Summary
De-Zigners is a new business that will offer comprehensive interior design services for home and office.  This business will assist those that want to have guidance and council in developing a basic design concept of their project, to the person that desires someone to take it from concept to completion.  De-Zigners will offer the ability for clients to purchase new and antique furniture, art work, decorator fabric, and home accessories.  

3.0 Product/ Service
3.1 Service
Our venture is a company of consulting on the interior design of a house, shop, restaurant, office, boutique and other interior spaces. We design and plan the specific space how to be fitted with decorative things according to the interior that needed to be developed. We will make the interior space to be more conceptual according to the need and expectation. With the collaboration (partnership) with both major and minor construction companies, the design installation for the interior are worked by other companies according to the plan designed. Clearly, we work just as designer for the interior spaces and chargers are for the designing work only.

 

3.2 Service Description

Our primary points of differentiation offer:
·         A unique client experience from a trained and professional interior designer that is qualified and capable of meeting the needs and high expectations of clients.
·         Access to a wide and unique selection of new and antique furniture, accessories, and special-order decorator fabrics.
·         Attached to the latest and non-existing design (design new).

4.0 Marketing

4.1 Target Market

The target markets are the ones who have interest in decorating their homes and are unfamiliar in doing so. The target markets are in categories of:

Prefer purchase and decorating themselves but need consulting
·         Buy-it-yourself
Prefer buying themselves then let professionals handle the decorating
·         Just-get-it-done
Prefer professionals handle both purchase and decorating


4.2 Marketing Strategy

The marketing strategy is based on establishing De-Zigners as the resource of choice for people in need of interior design ideas and products.  The more involved "do-it-yourself" and the "buy-it-yourself" clients will find the consulting and guidance helpful. On the other hand, the "just-get-it-done" client will find De-Zigners will successfully occupy the need and expectation.  All clients will find De-Zigners to be a resource to decorate their homes and offices in a way that is inspiring, inviting, and motivating. Adding on to the tools of marketing is through advertising (print ads), public relation, direct marketing, website and sub-company (recommendation) of collaboration.
Our marketing strategy is based on the following areas:
·         Unique consulting services.
·         Product choices specifically chosen for each individual client project.
·         Overall quality of the experience and the result.
·         Excellent client service and support regardless.

This marketing strategy will create awareness, interest, and appeal from our target market for what De-Zigners offers our clients. 
5.0 Organisation
5.1 Staffing and Operations
            Employment in De-Zigners are just simple as consist of two workers (Founder and Co-founder). Both founder and co-founder trained and qualified from design faculty. Designing works are divided by two staffs (founder and co-founder) due to just design works of the company. Additional staffs are not employed to save time, monthly gross and gain of the company. Other works as public relations and marketing managed equally according to work and time.

6.0 Financial Plan
The initial funding of RM 200 000 will be invested by the owner.  The goal is to fund the growth of the business from its earnings. However, continue to fund the growth of the business from the revenues it generates.

·         Slow sales resulting in cash flow.
·         Unexpected and excessive cost increases compared to the planned expenses.
·         Overly aggressive actions by competing designers.
·         A new competitor further diminishing revenue generation potential.
